A New Way Of Planning

Coming into week three we were asked to meet the teammates we have each been assigned as a group. This group was different for me not only because none of the group members are in my class but also because I've never even met them on campus either. In my group, Group Red, I am paired with EvaKKCara (Eva Kearney-Keaveny) and Alik98 (Alicia Kwong).

We decided to meet straight away after the class of week 3 so we could chat a bit, get to know each other and start planning. Having had some small talk I found out that Eva was doing the same course as me but just in first year and that Alicia was also in first year but doing Creative and Cultural Industries we then got down to do some planning.


Our First Meeting

We then decided to set out a plan for the next few weeks so that we can have some structure to our presentation and so as to not fall behind. Although this is a preliminary plan we did say that it will probably change throughout due to each others availability as well as what we each learn along the way through the weekly classes.


The plan we set out goes as follows:



Week 3 (Feb 21)-

Meet as a group and make a plan for the presentation.


Week 4 (Feb 28)-

Meet in your Project Teams to discuss the project and begin to brainstorm ideas for development.


Week 5 (Mar 14)-

In preparation for meeting in week 5 read the following

Discuss both articles as a group after class.


Week 6 (Mar 21)-

Discuss both articles as a group after class.


Week 7 (Mar 28)-

Discuss both articles as a group after class.


Week 8 (Apr 4)-

Start planning what we will each talk about. Research more relevant articles and readings.


Week 9 (Apr 11)

EASTER BREAK


Week 10 (Apr 18)

EASTER BREAK


Week 11 (Apr 25) -

Try to have a presentation completed by this week so we can practice and prepare next week.


Week 12 (May 2)

Have the presentation completed by the end of the day and practised each others roles.

PRESENTATION DAY


Overall I'm pleased with how the first meeting went and I'm happy so far with the teammates that I have. Each one of us chipped in a fair amount, having made a shared document on google docs and also setting up a group chat I think we will be able to stay in contact and on top of all the tasks that we have set out for us over the coming weeks to enable to us have a successful presentation.
